Physics Experiment
Our groups question was will angle and slope effect speed to find that we measured different angles. The last one was significantly longer then the other ones. My car the Mitsubishi Evolution X FQ360 was heavier then say Max’s Porsche Cayman S. My heavier car in the slightly lower track effected my speed drastically. One of the benefits of my car was my wheels rolled better then Trevor’s car. My hypothesis personally was that the heavier car would be almost as good as the lighter car if not better. In some cases I was right because my car accelerated faster because of its weight. But on some the lightness of Tobin’s and Max’s car beat mine. I don’t know how we designed our experiment. Basically we tried out different angles when were messing around and thought it was a good idea. I was taking down the times and taking averages while people who knew how to work on slope (everyone in our group except me) worked on the track. One thing I learned that the steeper the track the slower the heavier car is and vice versa. I think we could of improve by more efficient timing and letting go of the cars. Again with the timing that would of made it better. Here are some pictures of my car above this post.
Here are my measurements of meters per second.
